Health Care

I read an article this morning that made me shake my head that,  “Contra Costa County” is allowing funds to be used for undocumented adults to have free health care. But they can’t find the money to have decent fire protection for East Contra Costa County.

This makes me wonder about our Supervisors and elected officialsThere are people in Contra Costa County who cannot afford the high health care prices for their family, who work for minimum wage that the county offers to support a wife and kids but be an illegal undocumented adult, and we will give you free health care. What’s next, free housing? Free cars?

Where do we draw the line and say enough is enough?
Has this gone too far where they are more important than the citizens that have a right to live here, who pay taxes, and are part of their community.
It needs to stop. Let’s take care of our own citizens first and make sure the counties have adequate fire, and first responders protection; take care of our homeless, our poor, our sick and mentally ill citizens. Then IF there is any money left over, we can help the rest.

East Contra Costa County is suffering with “LACK” of fire protection as they have closed two major fire stations and that leaves East Contra Costa in a potential crisis
IF we should have a major emergency that requires all fire stations attention, or have all stations tied up on different calls, we have to depend on other resources to help cover calls.

We are told they closed the stations due to lack of funding. How can there be no funding to keep our fire stations open, but funding to allow health care to undocumented adults? Is this fair? I think not. What do you think?

I think we need to do something to let our elected officials know how we feel.  Let's start a petition and let our voices be heard in a peaceful protest. This has to stop now before it gets out of hand. We can’t sit and do nothing, and hope it goes away, because it won't. We need to elect officials who care about their citizens in this amazing county, and who are willing to do something to improve what is now a disaster in progress.

For those who wear a badge

What is a police officer?

A police officer is someone who is sworn to protect and serve the citizens of their city, to answer the calls of help, and remove citizens who don’t follow the law. But here lately this statement has had a different meaning, as the officers who protect us, can no longer protect themselves. And we are losing too many offers here lately.

Too many officers are being shot or killed for doing their job, for protecting their community from harm's way. It seems like I’m hearing about officers who are getting shot for just being on the job. Is this what society has come to? Where the protect and serve can no longer protect and serve?   Where the gangs run the city, and ruin lives?

Why fear the gangs. Aren’t we stronger than that; isn’t our motto “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”?

Let’s hide in our homes, lock the doors, and pretend that everything will be Ok. It’s like the saying; “sweep the dirt under the rug, and the dirt is gone”
We can’t stop the shootings or violence in the streets, if we all hide in our homes and do nothing about it
“ We are only strong as we are united, and week as week are divided.

So let’s stand strong together and fight back, We all need to help out our sworn law officials, as they are stretched to thin too be everywhere, we need to be their eyes and ears, stand next to them, and be their bodyguard, as they fight every day, and put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
We can no longer hide and hope everything goes away. With today’s culture, and economy people are angry and are taking their frustrations out on innocent people. Unfortunately these people are the people who are trying their best to keep us safe.
There is no easy solution to this problem. As time goes on, violence will increase if the economy continues, and more and more people are laid off, or unemployed, and companies are closing their doors.

Here’s a thought, why not let the gangs patrol the streets. That way they will shoot each other? Problem solved.
OR IS IT??

This is in memory of Sgt. Scott Lunger.

When you woke up that morning, the day came with out a warning.
You tried to pull over a stolen bike, but the rider decided to take your life.

Now your community and friends gather around to say one last goodbye as they watch your casket drive by. They line streets with flags and tears, and recall their memories of you throughout the years.

Now family and close friends are waiting around as your casket is lowered into the ground. Why did he shoot him they say, and they cry and walk away.

You were too young to go, Why you where taken we don’t know. We would like to think it was your time to go.

Your family will be ok. In time their pain will go away. They will have friends they never knew they had, to help everyone through and this makes them glad. To know there are people who understand and willing to lend a helping hand, and to know that they are not alone while going thorough the grieving zone.

You where taken too soon form this place. Guess heaven needed to see your smiling face. We will miss you down here every day, but as time goes by we all will be ok.

This is in memory of Sergeant Scott Lunger. May you rest in peace.

A little poem to our dear mayor

Mr. Mayor you say crime is down. You must think we are a bunch of clowns Why is there is crime tape all around?

How come there are shootouts in the streets? Is this a place where people grieve?

They see a yellow tarp on the ground, covering someone that was shot down.

Families are being torn apart. Do you REALLY think this is smart?
When are these shootings going to stop, and we hear silence instead of gun pops?

While you’re in your office safe and sound, you can’t hear the cries of this town. And see the dead bodies on the ground? You need to take a look around.

You ask the people how they feel, and then throw a temper tantrum when OUR plan is revealed; like a child who is throwing a fit on the ground.

We did not get enough signatures this time, but we are not ready to give up or cross the line. We need you out ASAP, so we can finally get some sleep.

We need to take our great town back, and not listen to any useless flack. Heck we’ll help you pack.

Letter to the Mayor

Mr. Mayor,

First off would like to know “ ARE YOU NUTS??” How can you say violent crime is down when there are people shooting all around?
If you think crime is down, then you must be a clown, because violent crime in our fair city Dear Sir is “NOT DOWN”!!!

Ask any person whose house has been invaded, or a parent who has lost a child because of shooting or street racing. Ask our Police Officers as they run from one shooting to another in one evening to gangs, or a firefighter that has to perform CPR on a child that was playing in front of his house that was caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting, as the parents watch their child die Or ask any citizen who has had a knife or gun placed near them for something as simple as having a cell phone. These people will not say crime is down, violent or non-violent; crime in Antioch is here to stay as long as you are in office.

NO we did not win the signatures that we set out to get. But we will win this battle, you just watch us. You state that you have a group of followers - I don’t think so. If you would take a poll to see how you are fairing, you would be shocked to see how many people you actually have following you, and how many want you out of office.

We will win this fight, get you out of office and take back Antioch once and for all.!!!!!!!

You will be running with your tail between your legs, and not looking back.
We have had enough, and will not stand for anymore.
We all love this city and with you in office hiding under your desk and not leading up to your lies that we all believed when you first took office, we have no choice but to throw you out like the trash you are. We will elect someone who will clean up the mess that you made, and turn this city into the gem that it once was before you took office.

Yes MR. Mayor your time in office is short, and you should find a city that does not know you and move there. “Because the citizens of this great city are taking over, and we will not stop until you are gone”

Sincerely,

 Concerned Antioch Citizens

Summer fun

I have been writing about some deep issues the past few essays, so I decided today to write about something positive and not so deep.
As I look,  I can see trees blowing a gentle breeze; blue sky; and feel  a warm breeze from an open window.   Families eating out at a local restaurant, the sound of a baseball hitting a bat, children running around laughing.   Makes me stop and think: “Yep it’s definitely summertime where camping is a tradition and S’mores are a must. Where life is easy and laid back, you put your worries to the side and enjoy the day.

Yep it’s summertime, where a trip to the local fair means eating fried candy bars and junk food, then going on a roller coaster being turned upside down and twisted from side to side, and hope what you just ate does not do the same.

Sitting down on a field with all of your family and friends to watch some amazing fireworks and thinking nothing can be better than this.  As you scan that field and see happy faces on everyone, a smile comes across your face, and you let out a sigh, and realize that despite what’s going on around in your life now, life is good and you never want to forget this feeling.

As the “Grand Finale” displays it’s glory, and you start packing up your family, saying  goodbye for now to your cousins and other relatives, and head home.   Your family takes a well-deserved nap on the way back. You watch some more fireworks, look at your family and realize that no matter what you never want to lose this feeling.

Yep it’s summer time where the living is easy.

S.F. Niners New Home

I hear that Niner’s have a new home these days,
Where they will play most Sundays.
They have new food, the price is high
and I’m told to the sky.
Bring your family and your spouse,
and take a second mortgage on your house.
These prices are way too high,
for any single passerby
Oh my dear, eleven dollars for a beer.

This does not include getting in
to watch your team play and win,

I would rather watch the game all day,
than have to pay and pay
(By the way, can get a 6 pack at Safeway,
far less than you will pay)

You won’t catch me at their new home;
wow they made it to the end zone.

The Niner’s won their game,
watching here is just the same.
Expect no standing in lines, no crowds, no traffic going home.
Sure glad they made it to the end zone.

Walk out of the game with your head held high,
all the way to the sky.
Because when you reach your home,
you’re going to need a loan.
For all the cookies and the snacks,
you need to pay yourself back.
I hope your banker's at the game,
trust me he will need the same.

So welcome to football season,
where the weather is always freezing.

Free speech mean to you?

What does Free Speech mean to you?

According to the First Amendment written in 1791,it guarantees freedoms concerning Religion, Expression, Assembly, and the Right to Petition.
It also states; that it guarantees Freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. NOWHERE in this Amendment did I read, you don’t have a right to be heard or be heard.

I read an article that a local parent that had her first Amendment taken away and was not able to voice her concerns to the local city counsel. She was shut down after three min of speaking and was told to leave. As I was watching this video, I noticed a light that was turning different colors as a timer to those who are speaking to the counsel. I found this strange and begin to wonder how many other people’s voices have been shut down when this light goes from go to stop.

This parent was simply trying to have the city pay for speed bumps down her street, as her son was killed by a young man who decided to do a side show, hit her son, and dragging him under the car. Her son died from the wounds.

IS this really too much to ask for? I think not, but since the parent was shut down, the family has installed speed bumps them selves to slow down traffic, and prevent this from occurring again having another family lose a family member do to senseless people doing sideshows.  Which the city will take down as soon as they realize what the family has done, strange the city can pay someone to take them down, but not put them up.

Why do we need a city counsel when we have to take matters into our own hands? Isn’t their elected duty to support the citizens of their city?  How many people have to die before something is done to stop all of this? I know our local police department is stretched thin, and cannot respond to every call. But when is it ENOUGH? When do we say, “IVE had enough, and do something about all of this? When do we put our foot down and say “NO MORE” my time is not over stand our ground and let our voices be heard?
Weather in a peaceful protest or a city meeting, we can no longer sit back and do nothing, this city is being run by people who just don’t care, and we need to take action to take it back.

Life matters

LIFE MATTERS.

These are two words not so long ago did not have a meaning like they do now. Too many people are losing their family members due to senseless violence, and this has to stop.
It should not matter what race you are, what color you are or what clothing you wear; you are someone’s family member and have a right to walk down the street and not fear being shot, mugged or assaulted for wearing  “gang affiliated clothing on your person”

Too many officers are being shot at or killed for doing their job, for protecting their community from harm's way. Just today I read about two officers that where shot. Is this what society has come to? Where the protect and serve can no longer protect and serve?   Where the gangs run the city, and ruin lives?

We all say, “let’s take back our city, let’s show these gangs what we are made of,” but do we really? When the time comes down to the day, where we are picketing to stop violence where are you?
When we are standing our grounds, where are you? When we have a rally to improve our city, where are you?

Are you sitting at home saying, “ wow wish someone would do something to improve things, what a shame, and turn the channel? Are you hiding at home behind locked doors, not willing to answer the door, in fear of who it might be?
We need to take a step back and say “WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE” We need to stand up to what we believe in, and take back our city.

I’m not just saying the city that you and I live in; I’m saying, “TAKE BACK AMERICA”
Every city, we need to have a clean up day, like we do with trash, and clean up our cities. And put them away.

I know that doing this is easier said than done, and the police are doing more than they can to combat the violence, and are stretched to their breaking point. But instead of sitting at home wishing all of this would just magically disappear, how about having a voice, standing up for your rights, letting your vote count, or at least telling your state officials “you're not going to take it anymore, and fight back”

Lying under a tree

Your lying under a tree, and this is what your eyes can see, sky blue, and grass green, prettiest picture you have ever seen.
White puffy clouds floating by and you begin to wonder, why can life can be keen, where sky is blue and grass is green.
You hear birds chirping all around, and a gentle breeze blowing trees all around.
You see a rabbit hopping by and look at it and say hi. You watch it for a while, and you realize it made you smile.
You get hungry so you see a picnic basket, you open it up and you see, a better place for you and me. You climb in this box, and what you see blows off your sox.
You’re at the beach you see, and your hoping this is not a dream.
The sand is warm the water is blue, this the perfect place for you and me.
You lie on the beach and feel the sun, and say to yourself, “Im having too much fun”
You hear some children talking away, and you smile and say to yourself that made my day. Lying on the beach you fall asleep, while the waves start to creep, they wash away all your worries and pain, then you feel the mist of a gentle rain. You run for cover from the rain, and the children who were playing do the same. You inside nice and dry, as you watch the rain as it s passing by. You fall asleep in your place so dry, you cant help but wonder why, you don’t want this day to end, and all the new people you call friends. You stop and wonder could this be a dream? This is far from being seen. Am I home snug in my bed? Or lying by a fireplace glowing instead. This is one thing no one will ever know, and a place you can always go. Just open a lock, climb in the box hold and  on tight, you’re in for a special delight.
My question for you is as you see, is this a dream or reality?
The answer to this is yet to be seen, the dream is up to you, where you go and what you do.

Low ridder pants

So you think you’re cool walking around, with your pants hanging on the ground, with people looking all around. Don’t you know, we don’t care we don’t want to see your underwear. In 1959 man made a belt, been thinking this might help, just place it all around and keep your pants from falling down. When you are walking down the street, with your pants hanging at your feet, you might trip on your pants, “I see London, I see France, I don’t want to see thugs underpants” We don’t care if your underpants are blue or white, it can cause as awful fright. So next time you get dressed, please try look your best, pick a pair that fit just right, even if they fit too tight, it’s better that walking around with your pants fallen to the ground.

Flood

Row, row your boat gently down the hall, merely, merely, life is not a ball.
I woke in the morning to a squishy sound, what there’s water all around.
My sox are wet; my feet aren’t dry and cant stop and wonder why?
The water is coming from the ceiling this is a familiar feeling.
This happened once some time a go, which cost this place a lot of dough.
My home for now is a hotel room, so I don’t have to smell the fumes.
The maids make up this place, and I come to with a happy face.
I don’t have to cook or clean, I could get used to this its so serene.
It feels like I’m on vacation, this is such a temptation.
For now this will work, as the people clean up the dirt.
My place smells bad, and I’m really glad that fans are around drying up the air and ground.
I can’t wait to go back home, and be back in my zone.
But I can’t stop and wonder, is this place going under?
With water all around, on the wall, ceiling and the ground, should I rent a boat to float around, in case the water should come falling down?

A poem to the Antioch pd

A poem to the Antioch Police Dept

Thank you to all the men and women who wear blue, keeping our streets safe for me and you.
You put away all the thugs, and throw away all the guns and drugs.
You make our streets safe and sound so we have a chance to walk around.
You tell the thugs to go away, and IF you come back, you will put them away.
We have a hotel where they can stay, where they can learn how to behave.
They need to learn right from wrong; maybe they should go back to Kindergarten and learn that song.
So next time you see a car with red and blue, give them a smile you don’t know what they have gone through.
They could have just come from a call that had a child involved that is the worst kind of call.
When you see the lights a glow, just pull over you never know, what they are doing, could be an accident, robbery or a shooting
We thank you men and women who wear blue, we admire what you do through to keep our streets safe from day to day.
We would like to thank you Individually, but you are all to busy taking care of our city.
We know you are stretched so thin, and this is a challenge you can never win.
Keeping our streets safe and sound, and putting the thugs back in the ground.
We thank you to all who wear blue; we thank you for all that you do.

To young to have a child,

A 19-year gave birth in the bathroom the other day, and tired to throw her baby away.
She had the baby on the bathroom floor, and treated it like it was a chore. I really don’t know what to think, as she placed it in a garbage bag under the sink. There are people who would have adopted this baby; I think this person is kind of crazy.
The police found the baby safe and sound, in the garbage bag on the ground.
She did not want anyone to see her show, and her family did not know,
The secret hiding deep inside, that she desperately tried to hide.  She was afraid her family telling her to give it up, but she kind of ran out of luck. She will spend time in jail; with out any sort of bail .She was charged with child neglect, 6 months after the effect. There are a lot of people all around, who would love the baby on the ground. Instead of throwing it away, like people throw thrash out every day. I’m going to end this quick, the more I think of it makes me sick, that there are people all around throwing baby’s on the ground. They don’t think about what to say, they just throw a human life away. The baby more than likely will be placed in foster care, where really is a place where people don’t care. I hope the baby finds a place where she safe and snug, and a home where she can find some love.

Video of police brutality

I saw a video this evening that really left me screaming.  There was a guy on the ground with several cops all around. This happened at the Arco station the guy should have been on vacation. Could not see what they where doing, let me tell you, they weren’t snoozing. Cops where on top of this man, like ants to a garbage can. He was already in cuffs; don’t you think he had enough?
While I was watching the show, more cops arrived with their lights a glow. With these entire cops one one guy, I can’t stop and wonder why; with all of the looking s___y, who is watching the city? There are shooters all around while you are fighting with the man on the ground. One or two of you could do the job, the rest are causing a mob. He is already in cuffs don’t you think he had enough? Was told he was resisting arrest, really not looking his best.  There where people all around, taking video of the guy on the ground. The cops tried to say; I’m taking your video away. Cops did not want to be found fighting with the man on the ground. They tried to pull on person from their car, which did not get to far, they told this person, if you don’t give me your device, we will place you under arrest, and that was not being nice.
They wanted all video that was found, fighting with the man on the ground. . The police can’t take your video away; with out a warrant I heard them say. Want to see my video on my device? Have a search warrant that would be nice.

The man was all beat up, like he had been hit by a pick up truck. The stuck the dog to end this crime, let me tell you they should do the time. After the dog bit his head and face, he did not look like a part of the human race.  He was in cuffs; don’t you think he had enough? A report said they he was mentally disturbed; to me what they did to him was totally   absurd. There is an investigation to figure out to believe which side and everything the cops are trying to hide. but we all know what will be found, and it won’t be the man on the ground. They will chose the cops for   what they did, and keep it quiet with a lid. They will refuse to say what they found, for beating the man on the ground.
If you ask me what I think, this entire thing really stinks. Beating a person on the ground, with all the cops standing around. This is clearly police brutally I must say, and I really hope they don’t get away. They beat the man with their baton, if you ask me, which was very wrong.  Once a person is in cuffs, I think they have had enough. The cops don’t need to take out there frustrations out this way, this is wrong I must say.
I will not choose either side, until more info can be found, why the police beat the man on the ground.

Fires

I read an article the other day that stated congress could not stay; they needed to pass a bill that would help our fires up on the hill. Every time I turn around, another station is closing down. We really need to this turned around. They say California’s going broke, come on is this an joke? What will happen if your house is on fire lets say, and the only station is 5 miles away? This could really ruin your day. California is burning down, so many fires all around. All the parks are up in flames this is no guessing game. We need Congress to return back, so our fire fighters can start the attack. When Congress left for vacation till the fall, they really did drop the ball. They gave the Bill to our president with out signing off a single cent. Obma has enough to do, then cleaning up r mess two. It does not matter what the budget, these are peoples live not a subject. I don’t get the big delay; we could really use some more rain that would help the fires out, Shoot that would save a lot of loot. We need some one to pass the bill, and not left standing on this hill.  As we start looking down, we notice our town is burning down. No help is available because they are on vacation shoot they closed another station. How bout this, when you get back, we all start our own kind of attack.  We will take away your bonus pay, and keep it for a rainy day.  Wait as I recall, California does not have any rain at all. I need you to just look back, help us with this fire attack. You say you will resume back in the fall, with out a worry at all. I have a question; fall is in September, that’s a month away or do you not remember? if we wait that long, we will have nowhere to stay. Because the time you get back, there will be nothing to attack, the entire state will have burned to the ground, with noting left, just look around. Our parks are gone and so are the trees, nothing left but the birds and bees. So you really think you break ok, when all when all you did was run away? You left the burden on all us folk; this is really a great big joke. You ran away with out passing the bill, and left us standing on this hill.  You took our money to start the attack, all we ask is can we have it back? I hate to see these states burn, I don’t know if they ever learn?  Peoples live are at stake, during there summer break. While Congress is shutting, I hope their vacation spot is burning down. Maybe then the will realize what’s at steak  during the vacation break

Dear thugs

Dear Thugs,

Just wanted you to know, we are aware of al your shows. Its time we take our city back, and stop the violent shooting attack. We really don’t mean any harm; we just want to take your arms. We want to live safe and sound, and you to return back to the ground. Your taking up empty space, you’re an embarrassment to human race .Its time we stand on our own two feet, and not be afraid of whom we meet. We will walk with our heads held high, with a smile on our face and a gleam in our eye. All these shooting need to end, please stop shooting all our friends. We need to sweep you off our streets; to us you all are a bunch of creeps. Our city is really fine, and we need to start to let it shine. But with all the thugs running the show, our city cannot resume its glow. Our cops are over worked, trying to clean up all the dirt. Our mayor says crime is down, are you joking, just look around. There is garbage in our streets, Mr. Mayor U need to meet, the ones that shoot our kids for a treat. They change lives in a single bang, we need to remove all the gangs. The thugs who shoot to get high, and the parents just sit and cry. They lose a child or a mom and dad; this is what is really sad. That life’s can be taken away, and all we can do is visit there grave. We have no more family’s to hug, and it’s all because of useless drugs. I guess what I’m trying to say is all you thugs just move away, and let us enjoy our day. Move back to the hole you just came from, and let us resume all our fun. Where children can play in the streets, where they aren’t afraid of you they meet. Where gun’s and violence is a memory to dream, and life as we knew it could soon be seen. I hope this letter will make you aware, that we no longer will no longer scare. We have stepped up to the bat, and will no longer take any flack. We will continue our lives, as we knew it before you took over and tried ruin it. Its time to wash all the rugs, we will not miss all you thugs.

Letter to the Mayor of Antioch

Mr. Mayor I hate to say you about to have a crummy day. You need to take a walk outside, and not in your office where you sit and hide. There are people shooting in your streets, and these are the people you must meet. When you sit in your comfy office shell, while the city that you know of is gone to hell. You say the crime is going down, then why do I see dead bodies on the ground. You sit in your office safe and sound, when there are people dying all around. Yes Mr. Mayor your going to have a crummy day, as we all are going to take your job away. You need vanish into thin air, and let those take over who really care. You tried to give it your best shot, but really that didn’t help a lot. Your neighbors want to go outside, not be in there homes where they have to hide. We also want to walk the streets and not be scared of whom we meet. There shooting people all around, all you have to do is look on the ground. You will see a drawing on the ground, where someone was shot and fallen down. This was someone’s family member, which was taken away as they sit and cry at a shallow grave. The shooters don’t care who they shoot, as long as they get the golden loot. We need to take our city back, and stop this shooting attack. We trusted that you knew what you where doing, now all we think is snoozing. Mr. Mayor please wake up, while you city, as you know it has run out of luck.
I guess what I’m trying to say, is please Mr. Mayor, just go away. Our city is over run by thugs, I think we could all use a great big hug. You can’t cover up the problem as its wont go away, MR. Mayor the problem is here to stay .My question for you Dear MR. Mayor, what are we going to do about this scare? We can’t sweep the problem under a rug; we need to remove all the thugs. My question for you Dear MR. Mayor we need to know if you really care??

Guns guns

Guns, guns, go away little kiddos want to play.
Place your self in a little box, with a good old fashion kind of lock.
We are tired of you shooting in our streets, where all the families like to meet.
I hope your box is snug and tight, so we can sleep safer tonight.
Where tired of you shooting all our friends, will this madness ever end?
We hate to see blood shed in our streets when kids and family’s play and meet.
We know that you like to shoot, but it’s about time we give you the boot.
We all want to sleep safe tonight, so we can awake at morning’s light.
So, guns, guns, go away, we need to take back our streets today!!!!!.
